I am happy and proud to be (even a small) part of this publication by Palgrave Macmillan -both through Eteron Institute’s participation and by writing the foreword- following the kind invitation of Petros Ioannidis and Elias Tsaoussakis.

“Half a Century of Elections in Greece” examines the electoral contests of the Metapolitefsi through the eyes of political scientists who have shaped how many of us understand Greek politics. I had the privilege not only to be the student of many scholars who contributed, but also to collaborate with several of them over the years.

The book brings together lively discussions, scientific analysis, and the lived academic experiences of scholars deeply connected to the study of the Third Hellenic Republic.

Thanks to Petros Ioannidis and Elias Tsaoussakis for the collaboration, and to Eteron’s translator, Zoi Artemis Athanasopoulou, for her meticulous work within a very tight timeframe.

This book serves as both a reference point and an invitation to explore more deeply the electoral history that shaped modern Greece.
